Rob Taerum
Ph.D. Structural Geology
Rob Taerum earned a Ph.D. in structural geology with specialization in the Alberta Foothills of the Canadian Rockies. Previously, he earned Bachelor degrees in Physics and Geophysics, worked for a major petroleum company in Calgary for 23 years and has also worked two years as a meteorologist for Environment Canada. Rob is a certified guide and has been a member of APEGA for 25 years. Presently, he teaches geology/geophysics part-time at the University of Calgary (Geoscience department). During the summer you’ll find him exploring the wondrous geology of the Yoho area.
