Refund and Cancellation policy
We have a no refund policy. All bookings are final.
We do not cancel hikes, in advance, due to inclement weather or wildfire smoke.
We will attempt to hike to the fossil sites in all weather conditions. Come prepared to hike in heavy rain, snow, hail, wildfire smoke, lightning storms, and hot weather with no shade (30+ C). Expect to encounter all these conditions even if the weather forecast for Yoho is benign. It is common to have intense heat and snow in the same day.
For safety reasons, we reserve the right to decline clients who may be unprepared to complete the hike safely.
We do not guarantee that all clients (including entire groups) will make it to the fossil site. We will not provide refunds in the event that your group is turned around by your guide due to a safety concern.
We permit clients to reschedule with one months advance notice before the scheduled hike date.
It is mandatory that all hikers age 19 and older read the waiver below prior to paying for the hike as all payments are final. If for any reason you have issues with agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of this waiver you should obtain independent legal advice. Failure to sign the document forfeits the right to participate in a guided hike with the BSGF.
Feel free to print off and complete a waiver prior to the morning of the hike but be aware that the guide may ask you to redo a waiver if there is any question about the quality of the print-off of the document.
Acknowledgement of Risk Form and Unaccompanied Minor statement
If your booking includes a minor, the minor's parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must read and understand the Acknowledgement of Risk Form prior to making a booking. Failure of a parent or legal guardian to sign the document forfeits the right to participate in a guided hike with the BSGF. It is not a waiver of rights. A minor is defined in British Columbia as anyone younger than 19 years of age.
We do not guide minors who are unaccompanied by their parents or an adult custodian/supervisor. If your booking includes a minor who will be unaccompanied by their parents or legal guardian on the hike, it is essential that you either phone or email us to discuss your booking prior to payment. We reserve the right to refuse any minor that is unaccompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
